Terms of Service

Plot Twist sells a one-off personalised AI-generated short video. It is not a subscription. Each purchase covers one movie order for the story and treatment you submitted at checkout.

• You confirm you have the rights and permission to submit the story text and any photo you upload, including permission from anyone shown in the photo.
• You confirm any person in an uploaded photo is an adult and has agreed to appear.
• You must not use the service to impersonate anyone, or to create unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, exploitative, or sexual content, and never any sexual content involving minors.
• We may refuse, stop, or remove any order that appears to breach these rules.

• AI-generated video is imperfect. Output can be inconsistent, inaccurate, visually strange, or simply not what you pictured.
• Faces, clothing, locations, and details may not match your photo or story exactly.
• Where the product flow makes it available, one optional re-cut is included with your purchase. We do not promise a perfect result, a specific style, or a specific likeness.

You keep the rights you already have in the story and photo you submit. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process them, and to send them to the AI providers we use, solely so we can create and deliver your movie and keep the service safe and lawful.

Your generated movie is for your own lawful personal use, including sharing it socially. AI-generated material may not attract the same legal protection as human-authored work, and similar output could be produced for someone else. We therefore do not guarantee exclusivity, originality, or any particular ownership status beyond what applicable law provides.

The service depends on third-party providers, including Stripe for payments and Google AI (Vertex AI / Veo and Gemini) for generation. If those providers are unavailable, rate-limited, or block a generation under their own safety rules, your movie may be delayed or fail. We may change, suspend, or withdraw the service.

Completed movies are retained and available for 7 days after purchase, after which they are automatically deleted. Please download your movie before then.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be waived, including under Japanese consumer law.
